About Me

Namaste, my name is Nabanita. I am a 200 hr Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) from the northeastern Indian state called Assam. I completed my yoga teacher training from the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre located in the banks of the holy river Ganga, surrounded by the majestic Himalayas in Uttarkashi, India.

I study and practice vinyasa and hatha yoga. My most profound inspiration for yoga remains in the movement of flowing river and in the silence of sunrise and sunsets. Yoga, for me, is the science that provides us with tools and resources to help us discover ourselves, identify our habits, patterns and traumas, and heal from within.

In the past, I worked as a volunteer yoga teacher at Hivos, Costa Rica and as a yoga instructor at Kavas Yoga Retreat in Auroville, India.

My yoga classes are inspired by movements and breathing techniques to holistically nurture the three elements: our mind, body, and soul. Besides, they are geared for all levels and are designed to relieve stress, give your body a good stretch and help you have a good day.

I am a caring, creative, and attentive teacher. It is with honor that I welcome you to join my yoga classes.
